• NEP 3.0 alumna Ameena Al-Sumati participated Khalifa University’s Professional Development week with a continuing education showcase.

23 September 2023

• NEP 3.0 participant Hareth Alhashmi has been named Director of Project Management and Council Affairs with the Education and Human Resources Council of the UAE.

25 September 2023

• Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director General of the Al-Watan Fund, signed an agreement with NEP 3.0 Fellow Abdulla Al Shammari, founder and president of the Rest Hero website, to contribute 250 thousand dirhams, to contribute to its development and increase its capabilities as an important site for promoting and selling the products and services of small, medium and emerging companies. An article on the contribution was published in Al-Bayan.

• Saood Al Noori of NEP 3.0 moderated a Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis lecture with Michael Pawlyn, a renowned architect on sustainable architecture.

• Nouf Al Hamly of NEP 2.0 was part of the UAE Delegation led by H.E. Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Advanced Science and Technology to visit the White House to advance bilateral relations in science, technology and space.

• NEP at COP28: The National Experts Program community had a large presence at the Dubai climate summit, with members of the NEP community being at the forefront of driving discussions that can help address the pressing climate challenges. Additionally, two white papers from the NEP 3.0 cohorts on food security and hydrogen energy transition were presented, and the UAE Environmental Identity (UAEEI), a new national project designed to incentivize individuals to help reduce carbon emissions, developed by NEP Fellow Abdulla Al Remeithi, was launched.

11 December 2023

• NEP 3.0 Fellow Abdulla Al Shimmari’s company, RestHero.io received the Future 100 award, a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Economy and the Government Development and the Future Office, has unveiled the 100 companies featured in its 2023 list. These companies successfully passed the evaluation process and met the required criteria. The list comprises the top 100 emerging companies contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the future economy’s sectors.

11 December 2023

• NEP 3.0 Fellow Abdulla Al Shimmari signed an MOU with the Principles, a Ray Dalio company, to foster the development of human capital, especially youth in different fields such as sustainability and technology.
