Future Leaders Meeting Current Leaders

A primary objective of the National Experts Program is to create transformative leaders. To achieve its ambitious goals, the UAE needs leaders who can manage change, who can take bold decisions and who can bring people together. Moving confidently into a rapidly evolving future requires agile leaders who can embrace disruption. 

NEP 3.0 has a dual focus on developing participants’ expertise and leadership skills, with a diverse array of trainings, workshops, and conversations with leading experts preparing the cohort to tackle the issues impacting and influencing the UAE. 

After Module 6, the NEP 3.0 cohort was fortunate to meet with two leaders at the highest levels of UAE government and business, and to hear their thoughts on what it takes to change the status quo. Read on for a glimpse into their conversations.

May 9, 2023: Meeting the Cohort of NEP 3.0 

The cohort of NEP 3.0 had the privilege of meeting H.E. Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. H.E. Saif is a past member of the NEP Advisory Council and a firm supporter of the program, and he was eager share his insights on the essential qualities required to drive positive change. 

Their wide-ranging discussion touched on topics from leadership development to the UAE's current landscape, as well as future growth strategies, sustainability, and the evolving role of technology in governance.

May 15, 2023: Group Mentorship Lunch

NEP 3.0 participants sat with H.E. Homaid Al Shimmari, Deputy Group CEO and Chief Corporate & Human Capital Officer at Mubadala Investment Company, for a conversation about the dynamics impacting leaders across the UAE. H.E. Homaid is the Group Mentor for the third edition cohort and was on hand to launch the program at the meet-and-greet in October.

Following their recent completion of Agile Academy trainings in Module 6, the cohort sought his expert insights on how leaders apply collaboration skills and strategic thinking to operate with greater agility.
