The fourth cohort of National Experts Program (NEP 4.0) officially began its journey on October 27, 2024, with an engaging Meet and Greet session held at INSEAD in Abu Dhabi. The 25 participants met for the first time, setting the stage for their journey as sector experts.
The Meet and Greet served as a dynamic introduction to the program, blending inspiration with strategic insights. Participants left the event energized and eager to embark on the transformative journey ahead.

Leadership Insights

After a warm welcome from H.E. Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director of NEP, the new cohort were briefed on the program’s vision and the importance of cultivating sector experts to drive national priorities.

H.E. Homaid Al Shimmari, Deputy Group CEO and Chief Corporate and Human Capital Officer of Mubadala, delivered a keynote address. An inspiring figure in NEP mission, Al Shimmari also mentors the NEP Fellows. His keynote resonated deeply with the participants as he spoke about how to root personal aspirations, behaviors and achievements in ways that identify with what is authentically fulfilling.

Al Shimmari’s insights reflected his own experience in guiding high-performing teams and fostering leadership across sectors. As a key architect of Mubadala’s talent strategy, he emphasized the importance of leveraging opportunities to create meaningful contributions, urging participants to approach their NEP journey with a sense of purpose and timing.
