With over five years of experience in data strategy, analytics, and financial intelligence, Wijdan Alantali combines a strong engineering foundation with deep expertise in national data governance and AML/CTF/CPF policy. Wijdan currently serves as Senior Specialist in Business Intelligence and System Solutions at the UAE’s Financial Intelligence Unit, where she oversees business intelligence products and centralized data repositories, enabling data-driven decision-making and effective data governance within the UAE’s financial intelligence ecosystem.
She previously served as Data and Statistics Specialist at the General Secretariat of NAMLCFTPFC, where she established the UAE’s first official national AML/CTF/CPF statistics framework and played a key leadership role in the national team's readiness during the initial phases of the UAE's FATF Mutual Evaluation process. She also served as a global knowledge transfer expert, representing the UAE in collaborative engagements with Bahrain, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. Prior to that, Wijdan worked as a Network Engineer at the Executive Office of AML/CTF, where she led the development of a national cross-sectoral analytics platform and managed the establishment of the UAE’s first federal Born-in-Cloud data center. She also worked at G42 as a Product Designer, where she contributed to the development of machine translation models for Arabic-English language pairs.
Wijdan holds a Master of Engineering Management from Abu Dhabi University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Engineering from Khalifa University. She holds multiple professional certifications, including Class-A FATF Assessor certification, PMP, CAMS, IBM Data Engineering, and certifications in AI and programming from IBM and Stanford University.
