Creating inspiring stories has always been Taif’s passion. To hone her communication skills, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Sharjah (AUS, followed by a master’s from Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. Taif began her career at the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, followed by roles at the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. In her current role as Director of Government Communications at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), Taif leads and mentors a team of communicators, and works closely with ministers. “I’ve learned that creating meaningful, stimulating content that touches all segments of society is a key enabler of positive change and forward-thinking governments,” she says. 

Taif hopes to utilize her experience and knowledge to influence the media landscape of the UAE. “This is a time of unprecedented media innovation. As a content creator and communication strategist, it’s exciting to see new platforms connecting us all. At the same time, I want to make sure that we raise the public awareness of media propaganda, and that we counter any efforts to disrupt our nation’s social fabric through adversarial misinformation.”
