Moammar is Partnership Unit Head at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi where he leads major projects focused the MICE industry, including anchoring of Abu Dhabi Business Events Week, the first business tourism event platform in the emirate; establishing overseas offices in key source markets; and amplifying commercial activities messaging in local and international media. 

After six years in the private sector, Moammar joined the former Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority in 2015 as a senior marketing and communication executive. In 2017, he joined the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau, a subdivision of DCT – Abu Dhabi, with a focus on strengthening the meetings and incentives segment in nine overseas offices. He is passionate about enhancing the UAE’s business tourism sector and envisions a unified strategy that will expand this key segment and contribute to diversifying the country’s non-oil income. 

An alumnus of NEP 2.0, Moammar believes the program played an instrumental role in the development of his personality. Through NEP, he acquired an array of new skills in leadership, agility, collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking that broadened his perspective and equipped him to pursue his visionary goals with a strategic mindset and a humble approach. 

Moammar holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Business Administration – Human Resources from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai.
