With a career spanning investment, strategic partnerships, and international diplomacy, May Al Hajeri brings a sophisticated blend of financial expertise and policy acumen to her work at the forefront of Abu Dhabi’s economic development. She currently serves as Associate in the Institutional Clients Business team at BlackRock, supporting relationship management and delivering investment solutions across asset classes to institutional clients in the UAE, Bahrain, and Oman.
She previously served as Unit Head for Abu Dhabi Gaming and Sandstorm Strategic Affairs at the Department of Culture and Tourism, where she led strategic partnerships locally and internationally.
Prior to that, May served as Lead of Strategic Partnerships at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, where she forged partnerships across seven high-impact sectors. Earlier in her career at ADIO, she facilitated the establishment of over 150 international companies in the emirate and successfully onboarded the portfolio’s first unicorn startup, Gradiant.
May holds a Master of Business Administration with specializations in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Innovation from NYU Abu Dhabi’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University Abu Dhabi. May was the youngest speaker and moderator at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and has spoken at the Zayed Sustainability Prize Forum during New York Climate Week and at the TRENDS-Atlantic Council Annual Conference. She also served as Youth Delegate at the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the United Nations in New York.
