Khalid Al Naqbi is an accomplished technology leader and the Vice President of Product Engineering at Space42, where he oversees the company’s entire satellite technology product portfolio. In this role, he drives the innovation, design, and delivery of advanced satellite communications and space technology solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.
Responsible for guiding Space42’s product vision from concept to deployment, Khalid leads cross-functional engineering teams, spearheads solutions architecture, enforces rigorous quality assurance, and ensures seamless program execution for strategic government and commercial initiatives. His portfolio includes oversight of mission-critical satellite networks and pioneering next-generation capabilities that strengthen national and regional space infrastructure.
Khalid’s expertise extends beyond corporate leadership—he is a trusted advisor to the UAE Ministry of Defence, providing strategic and technical counsel on secure satellite communications and defence space systems.
Prior to Space42, Khalid held senior positions at Yahsat, where he managed the entire satellite communications infrastructure and engineered advanced solutions for military land, maritime, and airborne platforms.
In addition to his leadership at Space42, Khalid serves in a part-time capacity on the Board of Advisors for the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai, where he contributes strategic guidance to advance academic programs and industry collaboration. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering Management at the University of Sharjah and holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
