A seasoned executive skilled in managing extensive satellite communications and space technology initiatives, Khalid is the Vice President for System Design and Engineering at Space42.
Khalid is responsible for the system design and engineering of all government business and strategic programs including design authority, solutions architecture, quality assurance, and program delivery. With his extensive technical and commercial expertise, he ensures the government satellite network operates in alignment with Space42’s mission and objectives, maintaining high standards of performance and reliability. In addition, he serves as a key consultant to the UAE Ministry of Defence, providing critical guidance and expertise.
Khalid held several positions at Yahsat where he had full responsibility for the entire satellite communication infrastructure, and manager of engineering program, where he managed military land, seaborne, and airborne satellite communication systems. Khalid is also serving as a member of the Board of Advisory of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai.
He is working on a doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Sharjah and earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
