A seasoned technology executive with nearly two decades of experience in ICT strategy, cybersecurity, and digital transformation within the nuclear energy sector, Eng. Yaser Al Shehhi currently serves as Chief Information Officer at the Emirates Nuclear Energy Company, where he provides strategic leadership for ENEC’s enterprise-wide information and digital technology function. In this capacity, he oversees corporate ICT, AI initiatives, data platforms, cybersecurity, and digital transformation programs, while ensuring secure and compliant digital support to the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.

Eng. Yaser’s career has been deeply rooted in the nuclear ecosystem. At Nawah Energy Company, he served successively as Enterprise Information and Cyber Security Executive Director, Vice President of Enterprise Security, and Vice President of Licensing and Safety Assurance, building and leading high-performance teams across cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and nuclear assurance. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at ENEC and ADCO, where he developed expertise in ERP systems, enterprise asset management, and ICT governance.

Eng. Yaser holds a Master of Business Administration from Abu Dhabi University and a Bachelor’s in Computer Systems Engineering from the UAE University. He is also a graduate of the UAE Ministry of Artificial Intelligence’s AI Program in collaboration with Kellogg College Oxford, and a graduate of the MBZUAI Executive Program.
