Eng. Suhail Al Marzooqi is an Emirati researcher and engineer specializing in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, secure systems, and trustworthy AI. He currently serves as a Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), where he contributes to the development, evaluation, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity and AI technologies for government and industry applications.
Over the course of his career at TII, Suhail has worked on a broad range of research and engineering initiatives spanning secure operating systems, trusted computing, autonomous systems security, blockchain technologies, resilient communications, and artificial intelligence. His work includes the development of secure virtualization and application isolation capabilities within the Ghaf platform, AI-driven workflow automation systems, and research into the security, resilience, and deployment of emerging digital technologies.
Suhail is currently pursuing a PhD at Khalifa University, where his research focuses on the security and robustness of large language models and multimodal AI systems. His work investigates adversarial attacks, prompt injection techniques, jailbreak vulnerabilities, and defensive mechanisms for securing next-generation AI systems. In addition to his doctoral research, he has worked on projects involving computer vision, machine learning, distributed systems, and secure network architectures.
He holds a Master’s degree with Distinction in Cyber Security, Privacy and Trust from University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Khalifa University. He has co- authored research in blockchain-enabled systems and distributed technologies and was recognized among the UAE’s Top 50 Coders in 2024.
Passionate about advancing sovereign AI capabilities and strengthening national cyber resilience, Suhail’s work focuses on building secure, trustworthy, and deployable AI systems for critical sectors and future digital infrastructure.
