With a career spanning engineering, business development, and international climate diplomacy, Eng. Asya Al Shehhi brings a rare breadth of expertise to advancing the UAE’s technology and sustainability agenda on both a national and global stage.

She is currently a Senior Manager of Government Strategy and Sales Planning at e&, where she leads AI strategic engagements, high-level government roundtables, and mega-project partnerships. She also served as a lead Technology Negotiator on the UAE Climate Negotiations Team, shaping the country’s position in international climate multilateral forums.

She previously held several roles within e&, including Manager of Business Value Realization, where she translated technology and automation projects into measurable business outcomes, and Engineer and Developer in Business Automation, where she developed full-stack web and mobile applications. Eng. Asya also served as Executive Protocol Officer and Team Lead at the UAE Pavilion during Expo 2020, and was the founder and chairwoman of the e& Youth Council. She led the “Uniting for Climate Action” high-level event at UNFCCC and COP28, and has been recognized as a speaker at the World Government Summit, GITEX, and multiple international forums.

In 2024, Eng. Asya was honored with the First Class Order of Zayed II medal by the President of the United Arab Emirates. Eng. Asya holds a Master’s in Global Affairs and Diplomatic Leadership from the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from the Higher Colleges of Technology.
