Eman Alsuwaidi is an accomplished chemical engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the aluminum, oil and gas and climate change sectors. She has used that experience to manage complex technical projects, conduct strategic planning, and contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives.
As Team Lead with the Office of the UAE Envoy for Climate Change, Eman spearheaded the COP28 Presidency’s Market Cluster negotiations, including managing approaches to developing high-integrity markets that support sustainable development. She also served as the COP28 office liaison officer with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment to align national efforts with climate ambition.
Eman graduated from the WiSER Pioneers Program at Masdar, which enhanced her sustainability credentials and equipped her with comprehensive knowledge in the sustainability, environment, and renewable energy sectors.
In her previous work at ADNOC Gas, she provided critical troubleshooting expertise and operational enhancement solutions to ensure plants operated safely and contributed to project engineering and design. She also led the establishment of the company's first Gender Balance Committee. At the start of her career, Eman also worked as a graduate trainee and intern at DUBAL, the Dubai Aluminum Company.
Eman holds an MBA from the UAE University in Abu Dhabi and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the UAE University in Al Ain.
