A passionate environmental advocate with a decade of experience in developing and leading impactful projects, Dr. Hind Alameri is a specialist in Marine Biodiversity Assessment and Conservation with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
Her dedication to the environment is demonstrated through both successful project management and the publication of scientific papers, reflecting her commitment to advancing environmental science. Expanding her impact into education, she authored the children’s book “Into the Arabian Sea: Hessa the Hawksbill Turtle,” promoting environmental awareness among younger audiences. She also has two additional children’s books currently under review, further extending her efforts to inspire the next generation toward environmental stewardship.
At the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Hind worked to enhance the rescue and rehabilitation of marine wildlife, safeguarding biodiversity. She also implemented and enhanced conservation plans for vulnerable species.
She led the Marine Species Conservation Program in Abu Dhabi to increase species protection. Hind also oversaw the rescue of more than 1,000 endangered marine turtles. Additionally, she contributed to the development of the first-ever dolphin survey in Abu Dhabi.
Hind holds a Doctorate in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter, a Master of Science in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Abu Dhabi University.
