Dr. Hamad AlKaabi describes himself as a Bedouin from Al Ain, who inspires the Emirati brain. As the Head of Aerodynamics at Halcon with more than 10 years of experience, he leads the development of aerodynamic capabilities and has led multiple missile systems projects.
Previously, he served as the Aerodynamics Senior Engineer at Emirates Advanced Research and Technology Holdings, where he led various missile systems. He was successful in building the aerodynamics team from the ground up and in establishing tools, facilities, and capabilities necessary for the defense industry.
He holds a PhD in Missile Aerodynamics from the University of Belgrade in Serbia, making him the first Emirati to achieve this distinction. He also earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he was the first Emirati graduate in this field.
In addition to his technical expertise, he is a member of the Khalifa University Industry Advisory Board, representing the defense sector to help align educational institutions with industry needs.
Hamad also served as the UAE National Day Poet in events at both the UAE Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, and the UAE Embassy in Washington, D.C.
