With a proven record of delivering AI platforms that serve Abu Dhabi’s government priorities and national strategy, Amena Alzaabi is recognized among the UAE’s accomplished young AI leaders. She currently serves as Senior Data Scientist at the Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD), where she helps design and deliver AI-enabled platforms that support evidence-based decision-making and advance Abu Dhabi’s digital and data transformation priorities.

Her work focuses on applying generative AI, agentic AI, and data science to strengthen how government entities act on trusted data. At SCAD, Amena has played a leading role in flagship AI and analytics initiatives, including intelligent decision-support platforms, real-time economic monitoring tools, and AI-powered data products.

Prior to her current role, Amena worked at Presight, a G42 company, as a Specialist in Data Monetization, where she contributed to the development of data marketplace, data exchange, and monetization models that enable secure, governed, and value-driven data sharing across organizations. Her work in this area reflects her broader focus on the data economy, including how data can be structured, governed, and activated as a strategic asset for public and private sector transformation. Earlier in her career, she worked in data management and analytics, contributing to major data transformation initiatives, most notably Abu Dhabi’s register-based census.

In 2025, Amena was honored with the Nafis Award in the AI and Future Jobs Category, a national recognition awarded under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She also presented a paper on AI-enabled decision support for national statistical offices at the 20th Conference of the International Association for Official Statistics in Vilnius, Lithuania, contributing to the global discussion on the future of AI in official statistics and public-sector decision-making.

Amena is a PMP-certified project manager and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with Highest Honors from Khalifa University. She is currently completing an MSc in Computational Data Science at Khalifa University, with a 4.0 GPA. Her graduate research explores how agentic AI and large language models can simulate population-level response patterns to support more inclusive and evidence-informed policy design.
