Alanood is the Deputy Director of Foreign Assistance at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She has extensive experience in the areas of humanitarian aid, stabilization, social policy planning, and research. In her role, she provides guidance to and oversees relations with more than 45 UAE donor agencies, over 100 UAE embassies, and more than 20 portfolios of the UN and other international organizations. She also provides advice to leadership on humanitarian and development challenges, recently sharing her insight and technical support with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in the drafting of a new framework for UAE Governance of Foreign Aid.

An alumna of the second edition of the National Experts Program (NEP 2.0), Alanood credits the program with enhancing her ability to innovate. She believes the humanitarian aid and philanthropy sector will continue to play a pivotal role in responding to global issues related to health, education, and food security, but with a stronger focus on technology. Since completing NEP, she has explored the use of technologies like AI in delivering aid to the least developed and most fragile countries.

Alanood is a graduate of the Future Leaders in Foreign Policy Program (FLFP 1.0) at Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy. She holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Nottingham.
