NEP 4.0 experts convened for Module 4: Communicate as a Technical Leader, a three-day program with CNN Academy and Emirates Foundation. Focused on enhancing experts’ communication abilities, the module combined hands-on training, expert insights, and practical workshops to prepare experts to lead with confidence and clarity.

The module opened at CNN Academy with Becky Anderson, Managing Editor of CNN, delivering an inspiring session on the art of storytelling. Drawing on her global journalism expertise, Anderson illustrated how compelling narratives can influence audiences and drive impact. Experts then engaged in a practical session led by Adam Wood, CNN Academy’s Camera Confidence Coach, where they practiced on-camera interviews on CNN’s Abu Dhabi set, receiving individualized feedback to sharpen their messaging and presence.

On the second day, the focus shifted to the future of media and public speaking. Glen Mulcahy, a media trainer and innovator, explored emerging trends in digital storytelling, emphasizing the power of mobile tools to connect with audiences. Later, a Demo Spotlight featuring NEP 4.0 experts Dr. Hoda Alkhazmi and Dr. Hind Alameri showcased how technical expertise can be translated into engaging public narratives. The day concluded with a foundational Arabic Public Speaking Workshop led by Dr. Mahmoud Al Batal, where experts began honing their skills in crafting impactful messages for diverse cultural contexts.
