NEP celebrated its five-year anniversary at the Annual Dinner with more than 90 attendees, including Alumni, partners, and the new cohort of NEP 4.0, all united to honor the evolution and achievements of the NEP community.

A Night of Reflection and Inspiration

The evening opened with heartfelt remarks by H.E. Ahmed Al Shamsi, NEP Director, who paid tribute to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, for founding the National Experts Program. He emphasized the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whose role as custodian of NEP will be vital to nurturing national talent and expertise. Al Shamsi also celebrated the progress of NEP 4.0, introducing its impressive cohort of 25 Emirati experts dedicated to driving innovation and advancement in their sectors. Adding to the inspirational atmosphere, Dr. Parag Khanna, Founder of AlphaGeo, delivered a compelling presentation on the competitive advantages of the UAE at the intersection of technology, geography, and human potential.

Highlights of the NEP Annual Dinner included a video capturing the opinions of NEP Alumni. Hosted by NEP Fellow Meera AlMheiri and NEP Alumnus Khaled Al Remeithi, the event encapsulated the spirit of the community, celebrating its role as a catalyst for national development, professional growth, and cross-sector collaboration. The NEP photo wall buzzed with energy, capturing interactions among NEP Alumni and serving as a backdrop for new connections forged throughout the evening.
