Participants learn to become better critical thinkers who lead across their sector and organization, regardless of job title. The experience changes how participants think, lead and work.
The NEP aims to deepen each participant’s understanding of their sector through the practical application of the coursework in the Capstone Project; the culmination of all program workstreams and a key outcome of the NEP.
Solving a challenge facing a key sector in the UAE
Identifying and capitalizing on win-win opportunities
Linking abstract thinking and understanding to create innovative solutions
na•tion•al ex•pert: A person who develops enduring mindsets, technical knowledge and sector understanding aligned with government priorities to foster change and national prosperity.
The graduates of the NEP automatically become members of the NEP Alumni Community with many opportunities to stay engaged and continue to grow.
Graduates are given the opportunity to network with their peers in Alumni Meet-Ups that also provide the opportunity to meet incoming participants. NEP will also organize online discussion boards for the Alumni to share experiences.
Graduates will continue their personal development through “Insight Recalls”—a series of learning reminders and resources. They will also have access to an online database of NEP program publications, virtual think tanks, a quarterly newsletter, and the opportunity to undertake certificate and skills development programs or apprenticeships outlined in their Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
At the heart of the NEP philosophy is the spirit of service, putting learning into action and giving back. Graduates can inspire others by mentoring future NEP cohorts and sharing their experiences, insights and advice by hosting webinars or contributing to the NEP Newsletter. NEP Alumni also contribute to the community with active engagements such as participating in expert talks, joining sector-specific networks or professional institutions.
